Genesis 1:26-28 KJV
I. Plan: God has made us as beings of power, intelligence and love. He has given man the key to every situation and the transforming power to make himself what he wills.
A. Man has been given the privilege by God to be lord of his thoughts, the molder of his character, the maker and shaper of his environment and destiny.
B. The law of being says as a plant comes forth from a seed. Every act of man comes from hidden seeds of his thoughts.
C. Man is always the lord of what and how he thinks, even when his wrong thinking misgoverns his household. Jesus taught two foundations to build on. (Matthew 7:24-27 AMP)
D. Good thoughts and actions can never produce bad results, just as bad thoughts and actions can never produce good results. This is the law of thinking. Why do we believe in the physical realm and not in the mental realm that connects us to the spiritual realm? Wheat seed always produces wheat.
E. A man who will not think, plan and crucify himself will never change his circumstances and will always stay bound and enslaved to his limited thinking. Example: I’m willing to give money to fight a disease that I have from eating the wrong foods, but not willing to change my mind and action in eating that food. Result is, I’m not qualified to have good health.
II. Thought and purpose: Without, we will aimlessly drift into destruction. We will fall easy prey to petty worries, fears, troubles and self-pity which lead to sin. The fruit is loss, failure, lack of fulfillment and unhappiness.
A. Remember, weakness cannot sustain you in a power driven, evolving universe.
B. A man must conceive a purpose and a plan and set out to accomplish it. Even if he fails again and again, as he necessarily must, until weakness is overcome. The strength of character gained will be his new starting point and authority for future success.
C. Power is ability, and authority is the legal right to use that ability.
D. Planning and purpose create a pathway to achievement, not looking to the left or the right. Doubts, fears and useless thoughts never accomplish anything. They are distractions and they blur vision which in turn leads to failure. The mission is not accomplished.
E. The will to do comes from the knowledge and believing that we can. (Philippians 4:13, Proverbs 23:7 KJV)
F. The person who has conquered wrong thinking has joined himself with the power to do. They will overcome all difficulties and will bring forth fruit that does not fall prematurely to the ground. (Philippians 4:4-8 AMP)
III. We can’t change what we’re not willing to confront!
A. In a justly ordered universe, individual responsibility must be absolute.
B. Plans and thoughts that have connected with your purpose become a creative force that makes you bigger and stronger.
C. He who thinks and plans becomes a creator of the world he lives in. Life is what we make it and create it to be.
IV. What’s my plan?
A. Choose the right mission and career that allows you to live your faith.
B. It must fulfill your heart’s desire and God’s full potential. May have to work up to the dream of your career.
C. Understand Debt – Debt that appreciates like a house or business is good debt. Consumer debt is buying stuff that you consume and don’t really need or have money for. May even put on credit card. This is bad debt.
D. Borrow only what you must for the lowest interest for the shortest time. Never borrow to consume.
E. Only borrow for things like home, good calculated investments, and a car if you must. Pray about whether God would have you in debt for secondary academic education. He may lead you to vocation training instead, or possibly a business start-up that doesn’t require a four year degree.
V. Honor your creditors. (Psalms 37:21 KJV)
A. Save to create funds to invest. (Proverbs 6:6-9 KJV)
B. Seek wise counsel. (Proverbs 11:14 KJV)
C. Wait for God’s investment opportunity. (Proverbs 16:3 KJV)
D. Do your due diligence. (Proverbs 13:4 KJV)
E. Invest with integrity. (Proverbs 11:3 AMP)
Today’s Takeaway: What I think connects me to the spiritual realm and will produce good or bad.
