Pursue – Overtake – Recover All
1 Samuel 30:1-10;15-27
1. Overcome discouragement.A. When you’re trying to do the right thing.
B. When people turn on you and become bitter.
C. When you’re blamed for something you are not responsible for.
2. Overcome uncertainty.
A. When you don’t know where to turn.
B. When you don’t know how things are going to work out.
3. Overcome pressure.
A. When the load is more than you can carry.
B. When the task is more than you can handle.
4. Overcome fear.
A. When your security and control is being threatened.
B. When you feel defeated and depressed.
5. How did David overcome?
A. David called upon the Lord.
B. He sought God’s wisdom and counsel.
C. God’s word became David’s Peace, Power, Strength and Help.6. How will we pursue, overtake and recover all?
A. Fight the good fight of faith. Stand and be not weary in well doing. (Ephesians 6:13-14, Galatians 6:9)
B. Pray – God says ask and you shall receive. (Matthew 7:7-8)
C. Worship – Turn on some worship music. (1 Samuel 16:23)
D. Spend time with God’s people. (Galatians 6:1-3)
E. Get your mind on God and begin to see things from a Godly perspective.
F. Get into God’s word. (2 Timothy 2:15)
G. Remember God loves you and is watching over you.
7. The result: You will become an overcomer and an inspirational leader to lead your people to victory.
